“First, I love game clubs but my schedule doesn't allow me time to make that kind of commitment so this is a great alternative.
Second, as others have mentioned, Brett and Tim being developers means we get the unique perspective of industry professionals.
And last, but most important to me, it's clear to me that both hosts are genuine fans of games. I used to assume everyone who worked in the industry loved games as much as I do but insider horror stories in the media recently and my own experience getting my Bachelor's in design showed that some people do just see it as simply a job. I love seeing examples of people with long careers in the gaming industry that haven't lost that genuine enthusiasm and wonder of their peers' art.
