Good with major flaws
The content is well researched and the host has a good voice, but they can’t help themselves from going on long, drawn out narratives that they may think add to the tale, but really takes the listener out of the story. I’ve listened to a few and have found myself, at least once an episode, getting confused by the narrator’s train-of-thought tangents that are well-intentioned but fall flat. The end of the Bowie episode was a mess, the beginning of part 2 of the Tupac episode with the Janet stuff was incredibly hard to follow, and on and on. The host should stick to researching and telling a story well. Leave out the over-artistic dramatizations of what’s happening; they don’t play well for podcasting and take away from the overall product.
