Pip is a great interviewer, insightful in his questioning and allows conversation to flow naturally with his interviewees. The range of guests is impressive and it’s not the same cast of characters you often see working the podcast scene!

You would think after 500 episodes the host would listen to the people and improve his interview techniques. He constantly talks over guests and tries to get an in with auditions to every actor guest. It’s just got incredibly cringey and desperate. I tried to listen to the latest and still it’s...Read full review »

I played thou shalt always kill to death In 2022. Had no idea about who was behind it. Years ago I’d been mesmerised by Taboo, not knowing this dood was inside it. Stumbled upon this pod by an accident jus before chrimbo. Instant love. So much enthusiasm, sincerity and compassion. The guests...Read full review »

Long time listener, first time reviewer (I know, my bad) Reading through some recent reviews, may I just emphasise that this podcast is excellent and maybe clarify what this production is… It’s a fairly casual conversational podcast. Always has been. As such, there’s loads of talking over each...Read full review »

And this week interviewing pip is…. If you didn’t know he now wants to try acting. (Hear it on any episode) His ego is bigger than his forehead! Narcissistic.

Pip has an array of awesome guests but why does he have to ramble on so long at the start? Just listened to the Tom rosenthal ep and it’s more than 18 minutes before he even introduces him! I like the interviews once they get started but I have to skip a lot of boring stuff at the start!

Late to this podcast, but not going to listen to the immense back catalogue, despite the great guests. I tried a couple of episodes, but it’s too frustrating. The host talks over the guests and doesn’t listen to their answers. He needs to talk less and listen more. Let your guests finish their...Read full review »

Pip come across as a genuine and passionate guy and has great guests - so I really wish him continued success. However! As a listener it’s increasing frustrating to hear him continually interrupting his guests mid sentence with an overly long quasi statement/question that often fizzles out to...Read full review »

They may not be for you but you should definitely check, just in case, so many incredible conversations! Thanks Pip.

Should of stuck to the bad poetry. The host constantly talks over Stephen Fry. Talks about himself, throws in long words to sound intelligent. If you want to hear yeah every 5 seconds listen to this fellas podcast. Terrible host.

Let guests speak, stop speaking over them and making it all about you. Misogynistic in particular

I'm not one for writing reviews but I feel I owe it to say something after the hours of enjoyment I've had from listening to these podcasts. I've come late to this party & picked up from Kathy Burke but I've gone back to day one & caught up. I've been entertained,...Read full review »

Long time admirer of Pip’s music, stumbled across this pod in lockdown and kept me sane. Now it’s my go to podcast. Great range of guests on the pod. Keep up the fantastic work Pip x

I joined the Pip party when he had just finished touring etc so I missed out of seeing him perform. So, as I loved his music and I needed a Pip fix I thought I’d try his podcasts. I was not and never will be disappointed in anything this man does. He gets great people in to talk to. Very...Read full review »

While the content is generally alright, the way Pip speaks to people on social media, and about them in his podcasts, I get the feeling it’s really just a vanity project enabling him to meet famous people, make money, and enhance his professional notoriety to get acting roles. He’s extremely rude...Read full review »

I’m late to the party with this podcast but I’m glad I finally arrived! I’ve heard Pip on other podcasts and he’s a totally great guy. He’s warm, friendly and a great interviewer; very easy to listen to with some amazing guests. Can’t recommend this highly enough.

I’ve had to stop listening to this because it’s become painful. The early stuff was magic. The Akala interview made me beam inside. Pip’s become arrogant, boring and repetitive which is so sad because I was such a fan of his from the early days with Dan Le Sac. Bro if you want to be an actor,...Read full review »

Pip is a sound loon. Pip always does well in his chats and is always worth listening to. Keep going pal! Dream guest would be Catherine Rietman.

Would love to hear a podcast with Kate Tempest and Polarbear. So many interesting conversations they could have, given the opportunity to talk.

Great guests, but they regularly get interrupted / talked over by host, and usually so he can talk about himself. It’s annoying and a shame cos he seems like a nice bloke.

I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts over time. I’ve listened to distraction tapes before, left it and then come back. I don’t think I’ve heard a podcast where the host constantly talks over the guest and goes on and on and on so they can’t even jump back into the conversation. Seriously, if Pip says ‘it blew me away’ about a film/tv show/album one more time I might go mad. And sometimes it does come across as a tad hipster. But overall the interviews are pretty good and usually interesting.
markmarkmark85 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 09/09/20
Love hearing a podcast that’s more of a conversation than a regular interview. Pip always sounds genuinely excited to speak to his guests and manages to get them relaxed enough to show sides you don’t usually see. Love it

Interesting guests, but host doesn’t let them talk without constantly interrupting. This gets frustrating.
gurggletop via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 06/23/20
Mostly good but it’s just a little bit frustrating when he won’t let the guest finish or jumps in over the to explain his own take. Sometimes he thinks he knows what they’re going to say before they do and so ends up speaking over them about something else.

I love the honesty with which Pip does this podcast. He tells you at the start that ratings are how he gets revenue and is able to do this for us for free, no hidden agendas . Love Pip. What a nice guy. Always so comforting to hear. Love the drunk casts and the interviews. He can do no wrong in my eyes.

Seems to have gone downhill slightly. Pip loves to talk about everything he’s doing while not really engaging with his guests all to much. Brings the conversation back to himself a lot!

Whilst I wish Pip all the luck in the world with his acting career I can’t help but think this podcast has become a device to increase his profile at the expense of being interesting or entertaining. The person being interviewed is the subject of the podcast not you Pip

I’m new to this podcast but I’m in absolute awe of Paloma for her honesty about becoming a mother. Love this podcast, love Pips ability to just chat to everyone about everything. He’s a total pro at getting the best interviews out of people in a really easy going style where it feels like you’re all just hanging out. Him and Adam Buxton are the best out there in my opinion.

If you’re a fan of Pip then this podcast is definitely for you, but only for you.
