I found this podcast after I had finished listening to unresolved. For me to find a good podcast is all about the voice and how they pronounce words. It was hard to find a good one until I came across this one. I have now almost listened to all the episodes minus the doe I.D. Episodes, I am...Read full review »

Learned of this podcast through Murder in my Family (another good one) and absolutely love the structure and style. It is very factual and leans heavily on primary sources. Interviewing Paul Holes early on provided instant credibility. The episodes don’t end with a mystery, the criminals are...Read full review »

Brilliant podcast ! It’s fascinating to follow the investigation through genealogy and genetics. I’m always thrilled when I see a new episode appearing on the app.

One of my top 3 listens. Excellent podcast in all ways.

The content is interesting and well researched. Host reading off script, reads too fast and lots of repetition. Would be nice to hear from experts periodically. Would add interest.

Really enjoying this podcast for the most part. Amazing stories of DNA finally bringing people to justice for terrible crimes. My biggest issue in listening and some episodes are worse than others is that the host when saying someone’s name will only use the initial for their surname, but then...Read full review »

I’m so happy Ms. Bettancourt is back with a new episode after some time off. This became one of my top true crime podcasts soon after its first episode. The content is compelling and the narration detailed and well-paced. I can’t recommend this enough for those who enjoy true crime and...Read full review »

So disappointed to hear the music has changed at the start of the latest episode - I absolutely loved the way it was and looked forward to hearing it at the start of each episode

This podcast expertly reviews cold cases where forensic investigative genetic genealogy provided the leads that helped law-enforcement solve the case or identify missing persons or victims of violent crimes.

Love this podcast but the number and *volume* of commercials - super annoying.

A well polished, binge worthy pod cast. The narration is excellent, compelling and easy to listen to. Some pod casts are let down by annoying presenter, poor editing and production value but this is great on all those fronts. Well written and researched topics told in a factual respectful manner....Read full review »

I love this podcast and subscribed right away. Jessica is such a pro and presents everything in a clear and thorough way. Even the shorter episodes are more informative than long series I have listened to.

An intelligent podcast that uses complex scientific terminology in an accessible way. Very well narrated with dark humour and irony. First class listening ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Reading police reports as if they are bedtime stories aren’t respectful of families or loved ones. You should always contact families before deciding to sensationalize & monetize their trauma as well as their daily suffering. Krista Martin’s life is not yours to speculate on. When I first discovered DNA: ID a couple of years ago, I routinely found myself thinking “I wish they could all be this well researched and presented”. Unfortunately, they aren’t. Some hosts have a good comportment, but their material is lacking. Others are wonderfully researched and thoughtful,...Read full review »

Love this podcast. One of the best on my playlist. My only critical feedback is the commercials are unannounced and like ten times louder than the podcast narration. I usually wear ear buds and if I’m not able to quickly adjust the volume it’s like getting stabbed in the ear. Please fix this....Read full review »

By far my favorite podcast. I pay for the patron. I’ve listened to podcast for about 5 years and this is my first review. The host is awesome I love the way she lays the crimes out. The only thing I wish I’d that there were more episodes.

Content is great, but the ads are insanely loud. Multiple people have complained about it but you won’t do anything about it. Do you hate your listeners?

This is my absolute favorite podcast. I love Jessicas’s factual presentation, the details of the investigation, a biography of the victim so they are not faceless. And I love the science. I’ve learned that offenders often have a tangential connection to the victim, e.g. they live near them....Read full review »

I started listening to this podcast from the very beginning and it is one of my favorites. I only have one criticism. I used to really enjoy this podcast but now they have soooo many ads. I get having some but it feels like there is more time devoted to ads than the actual case.

I love this podcast! I think solving crime using DNA is fascinating and the ability to give families closure after all the years is a special thing. If you are looking for a deep dive into crime and how it’s solved, this is the podcast for you!

This is the kind of show that I wait for week after week knowing that the quality of the storytelling wil be top notch and engaging and so satisfying as wrongs are righted thanks to science and humans who care. There are over 250 podcasts in my list and this is MY #1 FAVORITE. Excellent subject matter. 5-Stars. I have been listening since the first season and my Mondays revolve around the posting of each new episode. Honestly I don’t have a great attention span for any show but somehow this one does it. A bonus to the great content Jessica B. has the most soothing voice!

This is my new favorite podcast. Jessica just tells the story in a low-key no-stress banter free way. Jessica does a great job explaining those complicated cold cases, its ease to follow the stories how the bad people get caught by their own DNA left on the crime scene, This lady has a beautiful voice! It’s a great great podcast! Trust me once you listen to one episode, you will want more!

I’ve always been interested in science & how it can be used so many years later to solve these crimes & give the families of victims some sort of closure. Jess is an excellent host & all of the episodes I have listened to have been extremely interesting & well procured.

I love true crime podcasts, but the cases that remain unsolved take their toll.
