I started listening to this podcast from the very beginning and it is one of my favorites. I only have one criticism. I've noticed during the newer episodes that Jessica is speeding up the dialogue so quickly, it is sometimes hard to understand what she is saying. it's as if she's...Read full review »

Has to be one of the best podcasts ever. They bring the stories to life and learning how they use dna to solve 50yr old plus cases is amazing thanks for all you do.

I used to really enjoy this podcast but now they have soooo many ads. I get having some but it feels like there is more time devoted to ads than the actual case.

I love this podcast! I think solving crime using DNA is fascinating and the ability to give families closure after all the years is a special thing. If you are looking for a deep dive into crime and how it’s solved, this is the podcast for you!

This is the kind of show that I wait for week after week knowing that the quality of the storytelling wil be top notch and engaging and so satisfying as wrongs are righted thanks to science and humans who care. Love this and recommend it heartily. And in a shallow level, I love Jessica’s raspy...Read full review »

True crime as a ‘genre’ has interested me since my middle school years in the late 80s when Robert Stack’s image flickered from the TV screen. These days I sometimes have a hard time engaging with podcasts. Let’s face it, there are a number of true crime-related podcasts and many are done in a...Read full review »

I just listened to the Scherer & Zitricki Case-totally sucked in! Thank you, Jessica & team! So well researched & told in all it’s twists and turns 🫶🏽 2 things I wish for: a little better audio quality as it is pretty obvious when a new track begins much louder than the one before...Read full review »

It’s great to hear answers for long term cases. I am sure this helps the families and I am so glad that DNA and genealogical research is being used to solve cold cases. Thank you for bringing these stories to light!

There are over 250 podcasts in my list and this is MY #1 FAVORITE. Excellent subject matter. 5-Stars. Love the show, there’s a chance I’ll fall more in love, but the ads are specially blaring, so it’s not looking good. Also the host is VERY bad with street names. I like to follow podcasts on map...Read full review »

I have been listening since the first season and my Mondays revolve around the posting of each new episode. Honestly I don’t have a great attention span for any show but somehow this one does it. A bonus to the great content Jessica B. has the most soothing voice!

This is a must-listen-to podcast. No fluff, no cheesy humor, no annoying anything. Straightforward, interesting stories told by a solid, believable voice. Concise, intelligent design. Always at the top of my “what’s your favorite podcast” answers.

This is one of my favourite true crime podcasts. It is so well written and researched with lots of interesting forensic details and the great satisfaction of seeing years old cases finally resolved.

This is one of my favorite true crime podcasts. All of the cases are thoroughly investigated, there is a thoughtful consideration for the victims in each case and Jess does a great job at describing each event in detail. I also very much enjoy the connection to forensic genealogy which isn’t a...Read full review »

This is my new favorite podcast. Jessica just tells the story in a low-key no-stress banter free way. She does occasionally insert a little opinion or sarcasm, but she only says what we’re all thinking anyway, and I love her for it. This podcast is my go to podcast I love how the host tells the story. It’s straight to the point. Respectful, but also focused on the victims story and how LE and genetic genealogy worked in synergy to solve decades old cold cases. Jessica does a great job explaining those complicated cold cases, its ease to follow the stories how the bad people get caught by their own DNA left on the crime scene, This lady has a beautiful voice! It’s a great great podcast! Trust me once you listen to one episode, you will want more!

I’ve always been interested in science & how it can be used so many years later to solve these crimes & give the families of victims some sort of closure. Jess is an excellent host & all of the episodes I have listened to have been extremely interesting & well procured.

I love true crime podcasts, but the cases that remain unsolved take their toll. I also struggle with the pods that attempt to be funny or entertaining as I like hearing all the facts without a lot of nonsense. Love it. The presentation, a biography of the victim so they are not faceless. I’ve learned that offenders often have a tangential connection to the victim, e.g. they live near them. Often though it’s someone never on the radar, and who would never have been found but for the science of dna and...Read full review »

While I do love DNA ID,(it’s my favorite), I won’t subscribe to abject entertainment. It’s just not a good value.
