I’m convinced after listening to this podcast that there are very few circumstances worse for a parent than being forcibly separated from your babies. Not only is it a nightmare for the parents, but the lifelong trauma inflicted on innocent children is unimaginable. These poor babies (temporarily) lost the only source of security they knew, and for what? Hearing Mason’s hoarse cry broke my heart. Thank you to the whole production team for a stellar investigation! I only wish CPS could have faced more consequences. I was extremely disappointed and upset by the lack of empathy shown by the case workers. If I had done what they did, I would have quit. Any system that is pushing for THAT is broken. CPS clearly needs more funding, more training, and lighter loads for case workers.
