Wow
As someone who was a mandated reporter for years and who took foster care classes, this was an enlightening podcast on how easily people can ruin lives. Simple communication and verification of documents could have made a huge difference in what happened here. For those of you upset by the so-called race card, there were some glaring differences in both of the cases. No one suggested the husband from the first story separate from his wife, who was accused of the abuse, like the second couple had to do. Biggest difference was charges were made and the second husband was facing jail time. How can you say race wasn’t an issue because the same thing happened to both families, but one family was punished way more severely? The system cracked down on the black family way more harshly than the first family.

Incredibly well done. Listened to the first 2 episodes and am hooked. God knows I would never want the burden of being a CPS worker (seriously...God bless you guys) but this is a chilling example of what can happen when the state oversteps.

I wish I didn’t have to wait so long between episodes, if there was an option to purchase all episodes at once I would definitely do it just to be able to binge them! Otherwise I’m loving the podcast so far..the style & detailed content makes this so intriguing!
