In this episode, Trine Askholm interviews two of the authors behind the book – Associated Professor Mie Plotnikov and Professor Sara Louise Muhr. They talk about why it was important to promise full anonymity to the participants who shared their experiences and that no actions would be taken, thus leaving the perpetrators without consequences. You will be introduced to sexism, the definition of it, how it is carried out, why we exert sexism and why it is so difficult to talk about. We will examine different vignettes within the themes; Individual strategies of protection, exclusion within the academy, threats and inappropriate comments regarding maternity leave.
