A modern re-telling of Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein," Bomani Story's directorial debut, "The Angry Black Girl and Her Monster" tells the tragic story of Vicaria and her view of death as a disease as she is overcome with the grief of losing her brother due to gang/drug violence. When she tries to "cure" him of his "disease," all hell breaks loose and Vicaria is tasked with the decision of dealing with the "Monster" her and society ultimately created. Warning: SPOILERS AHEAD!
