Great Subjects, Great Views, Wrong Words
There is a growing number of shows reporting from the Objectivist perspective emerging onto the radio scene, and I am loving that. In fact, I am finally finding it hard to listen to all of them every week! This show is one of the ones I make sure I listen to every single week. Peikoff and Fawstin, the hosts, pick important subjects and inject a refreshing pro-reason viewpoint into the infected media scene. There is one bad thing about the show: Bosch Fawstin. The guy is not incorrect, but it seems that all he does is interrupt Peikoff or their guests to call leftist people names, like rat and scum. I mention this because I object not to his name-calling, but to the fact that it’s not objective, and his /constant/ interrupting just slows everything down, and makes for many awkward moments as Peikoff tries to stay on track after he bulldozes through (usually thoughtful) points that others on the show are trying to convey. He is a very angry person--justifiably so--but it is just not appropriate for /this/ show. I say let him do his own show! (It would probably be three hours every day of name-calling, and I would probably listen every now and then). I think Peikoff needs to find somebody who wants to express their pro-reason ideas in a more objective and philosophical way than Fawstin.

It's very much in the tone of a news cast, I enjoy it, but a lot of people will be turned off by the calm consistent tone .
