“I’ve been an avid listener for over 4 years, and each episode is a wild and hilarious romp through the indeed strange and terrifying world of Sweet Valley. With each episode Anna and Karyn hone their skills as storytellers, bringing the 1980s/1990s world of Sweet Valley into the light of today. It’s a brilliant podcast, great format, with a keen watch on continuity and a pitch-perfect critique of Pascal’s (and her team of ghostwriters) vision of the Wakefield antics. Karyn and Anna’s send up of these characters has me in stitches without fail. Nostalgia abounds when warranted, but Double Love roasts the Wakefields and their contemporaries to brilliant effect. Their engagement with the listeners is one of the best parts of the show - it’s well worth a listen!”
