“I understand that few things are free, and I find the Patreon vs listen with ads model reasonable.
But as a first time listener, I selected a 22 minute episode about disappointment. It began with an ad for a podcasting platform. Then came an ad for mental health. Both seemed ok as they are in keeping with Dr Leaf’s wheelhouse.
Then she was interrupted mid sentence for a highly scripted ad about zit cream.
I was beginning to wonder if she will advertise literally anything. Then she was once again interrupted by something nutritional or diet-related and I just gave up.
Such a shame, really. I subscribe to 3 podcaster’s paid extensions and would have considered Dr Leaf, but after all that shilling, I wonder how hard up she is and what she really stands for.”
