Listen now
Description
Our guest this week is the hilarious and fiery Lauren Link! You may know her from her snarky IG posts (find her on IG @linktonutrition) debunking diet culture myths as it relates to sports nutrition and nutrition for the average joe. Lauren is an ex collegiate soccer player and director of sports nutrition at Purdue University. She was one of the first full time sports dietitians and has been working to grow the field ever since, providing programs to dietetics students to get sports nutrition experience and serving on the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietetics Association (CPSDA) board. You’ll hear all about this in the episode, but her passion lies in empowering her student athletes with the tools to take care of themselves after they graduate and no longer have an abundance of resources at their fingertips. We talk about identity after sport, how to stay healthy as a “normal human”, and how intuitve eating fits into sports like wrestling. On top of all of that, she answers our question: can you perform your best while intuitive eating?
