Sharpening Tongues Thru Frequent Use
5 or more years ago I was subscribing to Jim Rome just to occasionally catch the Sklars. I haven't missed an episode but always favored "Country" over "County". I sponsored an episode and I will say while geting almost three hours of free content every week is great - it's not "A" material sometimes. Though it's natural and spontaneous, the guys are working their craft. They are D list celebrities who work a ton of hours and interview mostly other D listers though some giant stars have visited the Earwolf studios. I don't know how the Sklars manage work/family balance. I admire them most for their dedication and though the occasional show is prerecorded and "in the can" during busy times of the year - they don't miss. The guests always have great stories. The impersonations usually close the show. I don't always finish those as I think they're just OK. I'm the same age so I can appreciate the nostalgia of Michigan, ESPN Classic and parenthood. Some of their movie quotes I've recognized from 80s Cinemax. Anyone who has survived working in comedy this many years has a thick skin and always bounces back for more. All this riffing keeps their game sharp.Read full review »

Great podcast with 3 funny dudes that really know comedy. I personally love it when they drop their parenting and sports knowledge. Also, great road stories but in general great observational humor. Add to your subscribe list for 2017!!
