When will the podcast pick back up?

Sorry, he doesn’t fool me. The reason he apologizes over and over and also the reason why it sounds scripted is because, I believe, he doesn’t mean anything he’s saying. If he reads the prepared words, he doesn’t have to believe them. I don’t think his ego would ever allow for him to believe he...Read full review »

I thought that this would be insight to the festival. It was a over promised and under delivered product. Seems to be a pattern. I’m for forgiveness but this feels like a podcast created to make you feel bad for a scammer. I’m super underwhelmed.
S.Nance via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/25/21
Billy, a grifter, , he’s the type that’ll only get worse, not better. Everything he said on Episode 1, it LITERALLY sounded like he’s reading off a script. So fake.
KnicksFan2012 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/21/21
After listening to the first episode, it appears that he’s created this podcast to clear his name. Yes it’s great that he’s giving back the money he’s making to the people who were affected by his awful actions, but every other sentence his just him saying how sorry he is. Getting the feeling...Read full review »

Ironically, a podcast about an event that didn’t live up to the billing has done the same exact thing. Anyone who watched either documentary or the swindled single episode will find nothing in here of interest. Want to hear the founder lie for 4 straight episodes? This podcast has you covered.
Chiefhiawatha via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/02/21
I was disappointed in this. It seems to be trying to elicit sympathy for McFarlane, but the guy is a total DB and I don’t feel sorry for how hard prison is on him. The jerk is completely incapable of doing the right thing. Podcast is short on facts, high on letting Billy try to build sympathy....Read full review »

Nothing more than a transparent attempt by McFarland to turn himself into the next Jordan Belfort...who by the way has paid next to nothing in restitution to his victims. Who wants to bet that Billy tries to make self-serving movie about this in the future?
LongGMEcalls via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 12/24/20
I’ve seldom heard a more continuous stream of softball questions and weird respect/ worship for a grifter narcissist who evidently has no plan or intention to repay his victims.

this podcast lives up to its Dumpster Fyre name! Really disappointing terrible editing or pretty much no editing? No new information just a place for con artist Billy to get his voice out not good do not recommend
callofthediscoball via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/19/20
On the 3rd episode and this just repeats over and over the same phrases and lines. Is this even edited at all? The episodes could be half the length it’s literally repeating the same audio drops over and over and over 5 times an episode. Exposure. I get it. Move on. Next topic. He already sounds...Read full review »

I liked it, there’s some bad reviews about how billy is a fraudster or a conman but we all already know that. It’s cool to hear more about the story and if that’s what you’re interested in you’ll hear plenty about it. Very informative the host does an excellent job and Billy’s an interesting guy...Read full review »

Having only watched the Netflix special, Billy Doesn’t have a humble or sorry bone in his body. , He has spent months putting together and rehearsing sentences of contrition for publicity and interviews and surely will continue the same on the tv circuit once he’s out. There isn’t a worse human...Read full review »

Truly unnecessary recapping of events from a bunch of criminals.
arrjaydubya via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 11/04/20
Episode one was promising and the host did a good job with episode one despite Billy coming across over-prepared. Interested to see what happens in future episodes.

With firsthand knowledge, I can tell you there's nothing that comes out of this guys mouth that is sincere. I had friends on the ground trying to produce an impossible event that Billy knew wouldn't be possible for months. Months. Personally, I had the misfortune of doing work for...Read full review »

Massive flop.... dull self pitying podcast
peanutseller via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 10/31/20
Promises an interview and then produced 51 min of the con artist rehashing his prepared statement over and over again like a spin doctor and their talking points. Not worth the time.
Giraldophoto via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/29/20
Don’t give this loser any more time or attention. The masterbatory mess of headsick spin doctors. A pure soft soap. Don’t give in. Let him stay in solitary. Do yourself a favor and skip this. If you’re concerned, donate directly to the people he hurt. This isn’t jailhouse largesse or regret....Read full review »

Over produced, awful sound effects and even worse dialogue. Billy says a lot words without saying anything. Obvious my dude still thinks he has some type of “brand” even if its an awful one. He sat in solitary and the delusion of podcast grandeur must’ve been the only thing keeping him from going...Read full review »

He’s pathological. I re-watched the Netflix doc and was reminded that in no way could he have thought this thing was going to happen, like he says on this podcast. He just didn’t want to cancel because he had no show insurance.

This podcast is literally a dumpster FIRE. Awful. Terrible. The host is garbage. The felon repeats himself 100 times in 100 minutes that I’ll never get back.

Having closely followed the news around the Fyre Festival, I was optimistic this podcast would be eye opening in providing Billy’s perspective. Unfortunately, the format of a simple back and forth, Q&A that jumps all over the timeline makes it hard to follow and not exciting. Some of the...Read full review »

So much repetition. I can’t tell if they’re replaying portions of the conversation or if he is simply repeating himself.

Think its a great idea and a start to a better new begging, but why did this guy ask the same questions worded differently throughout the entire podcast and why does billy basically answer word for word the same each time.
