“First, this is not touted as a podcast for beginners. Beginners would not get anything out of it anyway because they would not understand any of the French.
Anyone who teaches languages should know that speaking English is no way to teach French to intermediate students. So I shouldn't have to explain why this is.
The show is half in English. The English is just a waste of time and unnecessary (if you don't already understand the French, then the podcast is too advanced for you anyway).
Also, having so much English unnecessarily shuts out non-English speakers who are studying French.”Read full review »

“I’ve only listened to episode one and two so I don’t know if format changes.
It’s aimed at people from the USA. It gives references specific to them. For example comparing one French island to an American one. I have no idea what that island is so it’s a pointless comparison for me.
