“I love the new “intermediate” level Spanish podcasts. I’ve studied “at” Spanish for decades and can read after a fashion, but I can never deal with it as a spoken language. The slow, clear speech of these podcasts is unrealistic, but has the advantage that I catch every word. At my level that’s probably just what I need to be able to do. But the most ingenious innovation is mixing in English just often enough that missing something in Spanish doesn’t stop you in following the rest of the story. That’s simple, but wonderfully user friendly. Good idea, very well pulled off. (Hmmm. How does one say that in Spanish?)”
