Splendid Underlying Theory
I love the new “intermediate” level Spanish podcasts. I’ve studied “at” Spanish for decades and can read after a fashion, but I can never deal with it as a spoken language. The slow, clear speech of these podcasts is unrealistic, but has the advantage that I catch every word. At my level that’s probably just what I need to be able to do. But the most ingenious innovation is mixing in English just often enough that missing something in Spanish doesn’t stop you in following the rest of the story. That’s simple, but wonderfully user friendly. Good idea, very well pulled off. (Hmmm. How does one say that in Spanish?)

I absolutely love this podcast! The narration is so great, reminds me of a high-quality NPR show! In addition the stories are very interesting and the pace at which the dialogue goes so perfect for my learning at the level that I’m at. I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next new episode!

This new podcast appears to be great for intermediate learners who need slow clearSpanish. It is also great that the English is not just a straight translation but fills in some gaps in the story. I hope it succeeds so there are many more to choose from soon. Thank you
