Earshot is like a box of chocolates...
...you never know what you’re going to get, but it’s always great! Host Miyuki Jokiranta excellently straddles a balance of semi-investigative journalism, while making the listener feel like it’s story time for adults at the library. With many other podcasts, I tend to know what I’m getting into, but Earshot is the show I go to when I feel like having my eyes opened up to a story I’d never even thought of or known of. I always come out from listening to this feeling like something in me has been sparked, perhaps a passion to do something to make the world a better place, or even just a sense of wonder. An engaging and diverse podcast, anyone who gives this a (ear)shot is bound to learn something new. Take a chance on it :-)

This series allows you to understand how political spin and the media currently function, and how different sections of the public are being manipulated by it. After each ep I’ve felt entertained and smarter-er.

I have lived outside of Australia in Viet Nam for over 20 years. Listening to these stories had helped me reconnect with my Australian Identity. Yes some of these episodes made this emotional old man cry!
