Entertaining and informative
Excellent guests. The two different approaches to inquiry - journalistic and academic historian - mean that each host has uniques insights on any given topic, and their easy chemistry makes it engaging as well as informative. At times I wish they’d get through the banter at the top of the episode more quickly, but that’s only an occasional gripe. Now I just wish I had more time to read all the book recommendations!

More reviews of Empire
I love this. As a 50+ Brit I was taught nothing about the EIC except it’s name. The latest episode in the wake of QE2’s passing, with David Olusaga, is the best yet and presents a really intelligent view of where we are now and where we should be going. Keep up the excellent work - gripping stuff!

But very interesting to actually learn (as we don’t in Uk schools, or didn’t when I was growing l) to actually understand the full impact of the British empire.

Found them through The Rest Is History podcast and am really enjoying the show. Thanks!
