Die Vorlesungsreihe vermittelt einen guten Überblick über die europäische Geschichte. Der Dozent redet manchmal etwas schnell, dafür spart er mit Fachausdrücken, so dass man mit passablen Englischkenntnissen gut folgen können sollte. Insgesamt uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

Other reviewers are correct that Merriman is brilliant. I only wish that his manner of speaking were more fluent. Numerous word whiskers (uh) make these lectures almost impossible to enjoy once you pick up on them. Like the adage of having a face for radio, this speaker has a voice suited for print.

This is an excellent overview course for European history in the time period stated. Not being a student of history, I learned many new things.
