I’m gonna try to write this review through tears. Kate Bowler is the epitome of empathy. The warmth in her voice, her calmness, and just her ability to see her guest right where they are. This episode was raw, deep and real. Between 2016-2022 I had a miscarriage(2016), lost my stepdad to...Read full review »

I became aware of Kate Bowler via Krista Tippet. She was enthralling. I immediately subscribed to her podcast. I find she has this unfathomable gift for talking about the most terrible experiences (as well as uplifting - it’s not all “fun with doom!”) where her guests speak candidly and...Read full review »

I’ve listened to Kate’s books and found the podcast after. These are the most beautiful, real, open conversations on life, faith, grief, loss and just how wonderful and terrible the human experience is. So many wonderful guests! Many I didn’t know name before podcast and many I had heard the...Read full review »

It’s the whole package, folks. One episode and you will be back for every single episode! A delightful, honest look at life…such wisdom in one so young.

Love the subjects and insights brought up by Kate and guests on the show, but the host’s habit of over-complimenting the guests is rather cloying. I don’t feel like guests always get the most space to answer with complexity when they are often being given praise in the form of a question.

Listening to Kate is always a wonderful experience. She is warm and witty about life, others and always the topic she is talking about. She has great guests and inspiring topics. Love you Kate. Oh yes, and she has the best laugh. It makes me smile on the cloudiest of days.

Kate Bowler bravely digs into the uncomfortable truths of life that most of us try desperately to avoid facing…until we must. She is a lifeline for people living in this painful space. God bless her!

Where has Kate been in my podcast listening life?! Gosh. I needed her genuine wisdom and care long ago. She is real and authentic in ways Christians say they want to be, and she has actually taken that step. I am not elegant with words, and I have such an appreciation for her work. 10/10 recommend.

It’s interesting how I “found” you. I was having pizza with friends and Garth, our book nerd mentioned David Brooks book ‘How to know a person’ so, right there, I searched through the podcasts only to find he doesn’t have a podcast but I saw you; Kate Bowler and later once home I listened to you...Read full review »

Just loved this! I unexpectedly lost my adult brother about the same age as your guest’s brother…. Her honest examination of feelings was confronting and resonated with me. Also can totally relate to the “manic investigating” phase….. perfect description !

I’ve been reading Kate’s book and listening to her podcast for years and she is such a breath of fresh air. She is so faithful, but in a way that allows you to question everything about your faith and to be okay with not having the answers. She can sit with the dark parts of life and hold space...Read full review »

I love listening to Kate’s podcasts. She and her guests always remind me that we are all human and complicated. She reminds me that we all struggle in this life. Love this podcast. The 1st couple of seasons are my favorites because there are no ads. I know ads are needed to make it professional, but there are so many now in this podcast it takes something away from it.

Oh Kate. What can I say? Your podcasts are some of my favorite terrible, beautiful and relatable things. This podcast is like a warm cup of tea and a cookie on a dreary day. It is like a down vest with pockets when the weather turns chill or a favorite piece of music that lifts your head and your heart. Kate and her guests teach us to deeply experience the lives we actually have. She shatters platitudes, talks about real life and speaks the truth. Plus, she’s hilarious! Many episodes bring me to tears and side-splitting laughter. Kate also knows the value of the well placed, low-level profanity.
