OMG! This show is awesome! Long time listener of Fraiser Cains “Weekly Space Hangout” which Moiya is frequent contributor and just heard about this podcast. As an avid sci-fi and fantasy reader and watcher I think about this all the time! This is great to get real scientific and cultural views on...Read full review »

With a mix of science and imagination each episode sends the listener to far off worlds. Explore strange new worlds like the planet of ice squid, dancing party birds, and many more.

Heard about this through Science VS. I love hearing these science-grounded deep dives into world building! Reminds me (in a good way) of Imaginary Worlds. Really nerdy and fun.

This show has the feel of sitting down with a bunch of really smart friends and building something together. Each episode brings a bit of new science knowledge while keeping things high level enough to be entertaining. A ton of fun!

I discovered Exolore after starting to play D&D with my partner and friends. The interviews and world building exercises inspire me to try new things in games and to search out more approaches to creating environments for others. As an educator and manager, I also find tons of inspiration for...Read full review »

I LOVE this podcast. I just recently started listening to it, but I am already in full-on binge mode. Exploring space, imagining life on a different planet, building worlds and societies from scratch, all the while laughing while learning about astrophysics and mythology. There are so many...Read full review »

So I am actually very happily married, but Moiya is everything I want to be. Her voice is amazing, she’s obviously hella knowledgeable, I don’t know how she picks her guests but my god is she good at it, because I also instantly develop crushes on every single panel guest just by listening to...Read full review »

This podcast has definitely become one of my favorite podcasts for sure. As a person in STEM who is far too imaginative for some of my stick-in-the-mud colleges, this podcast is up my alley. It’s an incredibly creative view on science that challenges what we know about planets and biology and...Read full review »

As someone who enjoys immersing herself in fantasy worlds while learning about the science behind our own world, finding out that there was a facts-based worldbuilding podcast made this a must-listen. I wasn't disappointed - in fact, I would say that the podcast perfectly combines my love of...Read full review »

A month ago I gave up listening to podcasts or (trying) to read books that were supposed to cram my head full of things to make me "well-educated" but ultimately left me very unhappy. I learn a lot from this podcast, but above all I choose to listen because it always makes me smile. For...Read full review »

I started listening to Exolore a few months back because I love alternate history and worldbuilding. It’s casual, accessible, and yet expansive in the number of disciplines she manages to bring to bear through her own knowledge and guests. It gives me great ideas for how to approach writing...Read full review »

Great podcast that merges science and imagination. We often think of life on other planets as being very similar to humans. I like that here there they build on the diversity we see in life on Earth and dream up what would work best on other planets.

I recently started listening to this podcast, and I gave four stars because in the first episode, you asked us to come up with a name for the imaginary planet. I personally believe that the name would depend on the local language. Remember, there is a low chance of these imaginary creatures...Read full review »

There’s no other podcast (or media of any kind) that I can think of that comes remotely close to what Exolore is doing. Live fictional worldbuilding with a diverse panel of scientists and experts? What other show makes you laugh, teaches you about fascinating fields, and tickles your creativity...Read full review »

This show absolutely rules. I saw ExoLore live on-stage a few times in New York way back before it was a podcast, and my only complaint then was that I couldn’t explain to anyone who wasn’t there with me why I wanted so badly to talk about what it would be like for the hypothetical explorers on a...Read full review »
