Pod what?
I’ve no time for podcasts why would a audio narrative be more interesting and engaging than a video.? I normally I watch history docs or short but factual vids in YouTube Or via streaming services which is how I came across this channel and with the writing world building and delivery being so engaging I was on my second episode before I realised it was a podcast.

As someone who makes podcasts, the quality of this podcast is depressingly good. The writing, presentation, audio editing, and overall storytelling are maybe unmatched for something not backed by a major media company. Wow.

These kindof “fall of civilization” narratives are pretty conservative and really favor elite perspectives. Pretty telling this guy is a literary historian , would not fly in like basic Anthro 101 class

Just finished listening to the final episode, which is over four hours. For me it’s the best finale since Sopranos. I got emotional in ways that are hard to explain here.
