Hot Feminism
Listen now
Description
Against the backdrop of the Me Too movement's new importance in the fashion industry --and recent revelations relating to some of fashion's best known photographers-- your hosts take on the issue of feminism in their time. First the girls touch base with FNF friend  Sara Ziff. The activist, filmmaker and former model shares the progress she has made in protecting young women and men in the industry as head of the Model Alliance this year. Next, the author and columnist Polly Vernon joins Camille and Monica in the studio to explain what Hot Feminism, the title of her novel, really means, why it offends some, and explore whether it's truly possible to be both feminist and feminine. And finally, your hosts speak to jewellery designer Anissa Kermiche about her treatment of the naked female body in her work, and the cultural conflicts that can come with nudity in artwork.
