Love this!

Many of the guests are some of my favourite women - smart, articulate, empathetic - but the host talks over them, asks basic questions, elbows in her own immature, unrefined viewpoint. Perhaps my hopes were too high…

I love this podcast so much. It has really started me off on my feminist journey, empowered me, and encouraged me to stand up for what I believe in! ⚡️✊🏽😘

Absolutely love this podcast! It’s amazing to hear from so many incredible womyn, and such a fun empowering podcast.
taratje via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 06/18/20
I say this with sincerest respect (because I see the host means well) but this podcast embodies more signalling of progressivism, intersectionality and inclusivity than it actually has the capacity for challenging and urgent conversations about issues affecting women from all walks of life. In a...Read full review »

This podcast is so inspirational! All the women and Scarlett are inspiring and give such insight into feminism and society in ways I had not thought of before. I love it ! Also listening to podcasts makes me feel like my life is together

I stumbled on Scarlett’s Series a few weeks ago after joining a local women’s organisation as a volunteer. Asked during my interview what my understanding of feminism was and I’m embarrassed to say, I hadn’t ever really thought about it. Since that day I’ve immersed myself in anything feminist...Read full review »

Very disappointed with this podcast. I find Scarlett to just agree along with the guests even when they are out of line. Horrified that Chidera Eggerue was given an episode after tweeting ‘If men are committing s*icide because they can’t cry, how’s it my concern?’ In response to the male suicide...Read full review »

Great subject and interesting guests but please stop talking over them - terrible interview style

Love this, I binge listened to it over last few days. Scarlett Curtis is such a great speaker with an incredibly important message, delivered in a very personable way. It’s not just for women, I am a man and believe that much of the charm is how accessible the subject matter is. Each episode is...Read full review »

I follow feminism, the Guilty Feminist and literature. I adore the guests of these shows such as Aisling Bea. This was the first feminist podcast I’ve listened to from Scarlett. As a host she sounds genuinely bitter about every opposed argument. It was the first time I’d heard Scarlett speak and...Read full review »

Love this podcast and have been religiously listening for over a year, sometimes it can be a bit repetitive but keep it up Deborah!!
mrspotatolady via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 09/09/19
I love this podcast it makes me feel so strong and empowered and we need so much more discourse on this topic! It’s so easy to criticise someone so young for ‘being repetitive’ but she’s doing so much more than a normal person for an incredible cause! I love how many black trans gay and disabled...Read full review »

Scarlett is clearly very intelligent, thoughtful and relatable! Love the book and love this podcast! If you are interested in the idea of feminism but feel that you don’t know enough about it this is a very accessible starter course!!

Scarlett is clearly very bright and well-read and passionate and lovely. No doubt. I wish I didn’t find her annoying to listen to but I do. She uses so many superlatives - every guest is “the most amazing person” etc and after a while it sounds really sycophantic and disingenuous. When the guests...Read full review »

This podcast is so uplifting and informative. Scarlett, please can you add a link to more info on how people can help with period poverty? I looked in the notes and I couldn’t find anything, I know others may do this, too! Thank you for this podcast, it’s amazing.

This is a great pod cast for anyone wanting to know what it is to be as feminist. I’ve got the book on order and I follow Scarlett on insta m, she’s a great journalist and inspiration for women.

This podcast was maybe needed 10+ years ago but now listening to it it feels outdated and a bit like my feminism 101 chapter in my gender studies class back in 2009. Very basic points are made, I want the host and guests to go deeper!

I really like this podcast, but the past few episodes I’ve listened to have ended by asking guests what advice they’d give to young feminists or young people discovering feminism. Why does this question need to be targeted at ‘young women’? I’m 33 and don’t consider myself particularly young (and...Read full review »

Listened to the episode with Jameela on a walk the other day. I began the walk in a frenzy of self consciousness. Battling between my surfacing need to be skinny and my self love - the years of reconditioning my mind to not hate my body seemingly pointless. As I continued on my walk and the...Read full review »

It’s 2018 and everything the guests say sounds like they just came around to feminism in 2013. Really basic 101 levels with the primary definition is “equality” (can we move onto liberation?). Not much depth or intersectional points. Just white feminism, choice feminism.
bestbeatingheart via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/03/18
I love the interviews so much that I’m listening to the audiobook too. Congratulations Scarlett for assembling women from so many different perspectives to say what’s in their heart and share their inner strength to empower other women

Amazing. Really really enjoyed listening to this. Bought the book immediately. Looking forward to reading it and hearing more from you! Congrats. Also, what wicked messages these women are sharing. If this doesn’t make you feel empowered and proud to be a feminist then I don’t know what will!

Great ideas and I love young feminists having a voice but it’s very difficult to listen to. “It’s like, you know, you have been such an inspiration to me”.
