Grateful this exists
Honestly I was so happy when I read your post on reddit that this podcast exists. I like the information you provide and finally getting another opinion on international Volleyball, because in my surrounding I don’t get that a lot. But there is one thing I think you’re missing in analyzing matches in Volleyball. It’s how they compete as a team. In the Mini Podcast you Said USA vs. Brazil would be the real final. Now I agree they both were the only one’s sending their known best players, but as we have seen... Poland was the better team against Brazil. Yes Brazil should definitely have won that game with all their top players, but they didn’t. Poland worked as a team and Brazil hasn’t seemed to settle in with Leal and in general how they play. Same for USA. I think if Russell settled again and they start to play their best game they could have won the final, but Russia just had a better game plan and were able to win. So my beg is please don’t only judge a teams strength by their individual strength. That’s not how this sport works. Like a team with Ngapeth, Leon and Mikhaylov and whatever superb player would not work instantly or maybe ever
