Sane analysis without taking sides or themselves too seriously
This is one of the best US politics podcasts. That said, by being based on data-driven insights, FiveThirtyEight has and will continue to suffer from the same problems that beset modern-day polling. The public’s resistance to pollsters’ phone calls and questionnaires means that major conclusions are being drawn from minuscule data-sets. It is potentially GIGO writ large. The podcast compensates for this by using their excellent team of political reporters to delve into party politics and the latest polls. One episode contains more common sense than a dozen if its rivals.

Jody has a very grating and unpleasant voice, the whole thing was far too unstructured and pretty incoherent. A lot of in-jokes that aren’t funny to the listener.
