“If this had been a limited-run podcast with a longer lead time between episodes and SNL-related guests only, it could’ve been an all-timer. Some of the early episodes are genuinely great listening! I really liked it when they talked to lesser-known cast members and writers from the show! Alas, neither Dana nor David has the broadcasting or improvisational chops to do two episodes a week with whoever’s available, and when they riff the conversation inevitably turns to tired political discussion and “cancel culture.” Seriously, Dana, pal, buddy – if you’re worried that the racist Chinese chicken salesman character you did in the 80s is going to come back to bite you again, simply apologize, promise you’ll never do him again, and MOVE. ON. It really is that simple!”
