Matt Rife Fanboy Episode - 🤮
Wow! This was the most weirdly extreme fanboy episode I’ve ever heard and so cringy. Dana and David have interviewed comedy legends and have never acted like this. It was disturbing. Love this podcast and normally the conversation is fun, fascinating, and authentic. Not this one! Dana and David have made fun of Matt’s whole bit of just doing crowd work in other episodes. Was expecting them to challenge him and even address some of the controversy around him. Instead it was a boring and an obnoxious fanboy session. The hosts didn’t even ask any real questions like they normally do. It was all just “tell us how awesome you” and “we love you and ur so talented”. Matt Rife goes on and on about how he’s been wronged by critics and how amazing he is. I listened because I thought somehow there was going to be a punchline or that they were going to turn this thing around. Nope! They gave Matt way more credit than he deserves or would have allowed any of their other guests. Maybe they have a Netflix special under contract negotiations? Can’t think of any other reason why this was soooo ick!

More reviews of Fly on the Wall with Dana Carvey and David Spade
Love both of these guys. Listened to the first two episodes. Why didn’t you talk about Conan more? Also, a little disappointed they didn’t mention Norm.

Dana is FANTASTIC in his own podcast and on Conan Needs a Friend. Spade was AMAZING on Lights Out. Can't wait for this show. Sure to be great.Read full review »
