“Previously the show's major weakness was the Monday episode where, like its main rival, it shovelled out too much chat about Liv/Ars/Spurs/United at the expense of everyone else. However, it seems to making a genuine effort to even out the coverage. Not perfectly. It does keep reverting to form, but it is far better.
The Monday show also used to feature lots of footie journos cast from the same bland male English mould. With the arrival of the likes of Jordan Jarrett-Bryan, that has changed. King of foot-in-the-mouth comments, he’s the shoot-from-the-hipster the show needed. I’m starting to think that if I had a season-long accumulator wagering on the exact opposite of all JJB’s predictions I’d end up richer than Jeff Bezos. But Max doesn’t approve of betting, so I won’t.
The Tuesday and Thursday shows are still must-listens. Oh, and please keep the specials on racism, gambling, seedy football deals etc. coming. They are great.”Read full review »
