Sound quality very inconsistent- ads are very loud. Episode 9 - I appreciate the psychological analysis however given the host has no training would’ve thought he would seek an opinion from someone actually qualified.
Ginow 467 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 04/05/20
Perhaps the best Australian podcast ever.
Basil-Wolf via Apple Podcasts · New Zealand · 04/05/20
I really enjoy the stories but find the changes in volume quite annoying. The ads are far too loud and one has to scramble to fast forward or turn volume down to then turn back up after. Sort the sound quality and it will be a great listen.

I enjoy this podcast and find the stories fascinating, especially the tales of Tracker Riley. I won’t lose any sleep about where the cover art was photographed and kudos for acknowledging the Traditional owners of the land you record on.

Michael Adams does a brilliant job balancing between relevant historical details and human interest such that the stories feel fresh despite some being over a hundred years old. Look forward to seeing this pod in my queue every week. Always something new and fascinating!

I began listening after I heard about the Titanic episodes, as my wife is part of Michael’s Lord Howe Island family (a cousin of some sort, I believe) and I have stuck around ever since. It’s fascinating to hear about these little known stories. An informative and entertaining podcast!
