“I was sunburnt and parched from wandering through the desert in search for enlightenment in the form of knowledge and the most amazing taco known to man. They appeared unexpectedly, like angels would in the Old Testament (you know the kind...) and invited me to sit with them in the shade.
I thanked them, grateful to give my feet rest. “Ah, I see you are a fan of holy attire as well!” the bearded one exclaimed, pointing at the saintly socks that peeked above my hiking boots. “Join us for dinner, my friend, and tell us what you have seen.”
We spoke for hours around the campfire, telling tales of our lives and the wonders God has breathed into them, until at last, weary from walking and my now-full stomach, I fell asleep.
When I awoke, I was alone again. There were no signs of my hosts anywhere. But as I looked around in wonder, a mid-sized Tupperware container caught my eye. “May the Lord watch over you” the post it note on lid read, and inside, the most delicious looking tacos from my old neighborhood taco shop waited, hot and fresh.
I made my way back to civilization in silence, still in awe. Who were these mysterious men in the desert? What is Beard Balm? And how is the bearded one so joyfully loud!? I was full of question, but too elated to speak them out loud.
The podcast is good too.”
