“I use a different app to listen to this podcast and before the days of podcasting, I listened to your show courtesy of my local NPR station. Obviously, I’ve been a long-time fan, but I have become increasingly frustrated at your (or your interviewees’) apparent determination to pull politics into practically EVERY interview, no matter how mundane the topic..... If you doubt my assessment, I challenge you to review your episodes for the past 12 months and evaluate the data for yourself.
Your political slant became so oppressive that I gradually began ignoring shows/topics that “looked” even remotely political.... So much for the “free exchange of ideas at NPR .....” Most recently, even among the episodes that I have managed to download, I continue to “forward-through” interview segments that decline into politics or political bashing....
I won’t debase myself by arguing about whether-or-not your interviews are “fair;” or the fact that you can never seem to find even ONE positive thing to say about our legally elected leadership; or about any of the horribly arrogant and hypocritical comments posted in these reviews about my fellow “boomer rubes,” but I do sincerely request that NPR take clear and observable steps to put the “public” back into PUBLIC Radio.... In light of the feedback provided by my fellow reviewers, there is obviously a problem at “Fresh Air....” Based on journalistic ethics, doesn’t that concern you?
Sadly, at this point, my only remaining options would be to delete “Fresh Air” from my library and terminate my donations to my local NPR station.”
