Let Down
I came to this podcast as it was recommended as a funny, discussion-based podcast that shines light into what common atheist thoughts/feelings are on topics of the world, religion, etc. while maintaining the integrity of the other side. This has been a complete waste of time. Every episode is these two going after the lowest hanging fruit that you could possibly bash in Christian circles. Calling literally anyone who disagrees with them hateful bigots (while ironically cussing them out and wishing harm upon them without ever actually engaging with them). They complain about stereotypes of genders, meanwhile Jessica spends half her time talking about how “men are awful because…” “men always do…” the lack of personal and intellectual integrity throughout this podcast is laughable. Perhaps I was led astray by a few friends and my expectations were wrong to begin with, but regardless it’s absolutely classless how these two try to take the moral high ground on all these topics while being morally bankrupt themselves to not even have the decency to engage with the person on the medium or try to represent their beliefs accurately before they begin bashing them. Definitely not friendly, filled with logical fallacies throughout.

Absolutely love the Friendly Atheist podcast. Hemet is a joy to listen to every week for updates on American politics and Jessica is an absolute star. Listening to Jessica’s reactions and input every week has me both chuckling and relating to her struggles. Jessica you’re an inspiration
