“I’ve been a fan of Friendly Atheist for a long time. However, when they start bashing people with a different opinion than they do, I lose interest pretty quick. The leftist ideology (and I am a liberal) seems to cloud their ability to be critical of their own thoughts and stances. The most recent episode, in which they belittle an old man for having his thoughts on transgenderism without even attempting to understand his point of view. Instant bashing, no separating sex and gender and explaining the difference, no nuance at all. And yet Jess wants to make statements like “people are just being as mean as possible.” Okay, hypocrite. I’m done with this pod and social pages. Politics has no place in science.”
