Good idea but needs to improve.
Canada is a vast country with many different views on the many topics that are pressing our society. Although this is a good attempt from CBC to explain some of the most complex topics to the new dominant digital crowd, I feel it is unbalanced and does not give arguments from each side of an issue. After listening for the last couple of months I decided to unsubscribe as I couldn’t take the bias anymore. I understand the host has its own political views but the role of the host/journalist should be to provide accurate data from all the sides of an argument and let the listener use its critical thinking to come to a judgment. I would suggest taking a view at how Vassy Kapelos from Power & Politics handles this. She has a great ability to talk to both some of an argument and grill them both equally.

Jamie is creative, articulate, and brave. She dives deep into complex topics, yet makes them understandable for listeners. I’m not usually a fan of news podcasts, but this is the exception!

I love this podcast, it helps explain Canadian content in such an interesting way. The podcast world can seem dominated by American media, this podcast helps focus on the Canadian content I need context on.
