“I enjoy this podcast, it’s a quick primer on the day’s major news from a Canadian perspective.
However...
This podcast never has any *actual newsmakers* and instead relies on mainly CBC journalists. Sometimes this podcast will feature independent experts and that’s a nice treat and break from the same-old same-old journalists that can be heard on other CBC programming.
Secondly, this podcast is much too formulaic in its structure. Intro, conversation, interrupt with some jazzy music, go back to conversation, cut out to commercial, host will say the same thing when cutting, etc etc. Every show is the same. It would be nice if the producers mixed things up every once in a while.
Anyway. I gave this a 4 star rating.”
