I’ve tried A LOT of actual play podcasts. FUN CITY is one of the best along with Friends at The Table, Dark Future Dice, NaddPod, and TAZ. Great group of players, interesting decisions, primo gm’ing & inventive world building!

Definitely my favorite actual play podcast. They get a lot right here, from the great sound design to the energy of the cast and the world-building by the GMs. I also love the extra content that they record for their Patreon subscribers. Keep up the great work!

The best Shadowrun narrative play podcast available. The baseline of wit, humor, and daring from the cast ensures that the show’s excellent sound design and narrative ideas are enhanced through play. The superior way to consider a tumultuous future with company. There’s the future, but then...Read full review »

I’m not sure I have the words to express all there is to appreciate about Fun City. Mike Rugnetta is one of the most intelligent, empathetic, and creative GMs in the ttprpg world. The cast is full of talented and socially intelligent polymaths, and . . .dang man. Just. Just give it a few...Read full review »

Fun City is consistently one of the best audio RPG campaigns out there—but what else would you expect from a team this talented? The story decisions, production and editing, and improvisations are all inspired, and make for a delightful listening experience. It’s so good to listen to good...Read full review »

My favorite podcast! Fun City is consistently entertaining and well-produced with obvious effort made towards polishing the experience for the listener. Both arcs (Shadowrun and Stillfleet) are excellent while being very different from one another. The thread that carries through both of them is...Read full review »

Fun City is my absolute favorite podcast and I have no idea how the team is able to nail every single episode so consistently and impressively. They have created a fully-realized mixture of dungeons and dragons, improv comedy, heartfelt drama, unpredictable storytelling, and professional-grade...Read full review »

My family, friends, and comrades have all heard me evangelize about the show, lol. Imaginative, thought-provoking, and fun world and characters. They do a cool thing where there are two GMs, and it kinda just works. I like what they’re doing with the show and am excited to see where it...Read full review »

I look forward to fun city every single time an episode comes out! The world building and characters are so compelling, and the production value is so high that it makes me upset this podcast isn’t more widely known! The episodes never run too long, and know just how to include enough fun table...Read full review »

I came to this podcast after I saw who was involved. I don’t usually like ttrpg podcasts because they assume people are extremely familiar with the lore/mechanics of the game. This podcast does a great job of getting into a Shadowrun game in a beginner-friendly way. People who don’t like...Read full review »

Funny, exciting, imaginative, and at times feeling weirdly portentuous, this podcast has it all and is wildly entertaining. Set a century in the future, in NYC, mostly in the Brooklyn Archipelago (what did you THINK would happen when we continue to do nothing about rising sea levels?)....Read full review »

I’ve been crunching through this as nearly my only media for the last two weeks. I love the players, the characters, the story. Everyone is such a friendly voice to hear, and I dread the day coming up soon when I’ll run out of backlog. Their secondary chat episode feed on Patreon is lovely.

Beautifully produced real-play podcast that lets the world and characters shine. This podcast also uses an unusual dual GM-ing system, which I feel is quite novel, but also adds great dynamism to the world. The goofs are good!

This is by far one of the the most engaging real play podcasts you will find on the internet. I’ve listened to a lot of them, and this is a top5 for me no question. Wish the PCs and DM did more voices, but still love it and I’m kind of sad I caught up on the back catalogue so quickly

Actual play podcasts live or die by the chemistry of their cast. Fun City does not have an issue with this. Every member of the crew brings something different and delightful to the mix. I love this podcast so much! It’s an instant listen, as soon as it shows up in my podcast app.

Fun City is a breath of fresh air. The typical racism, slurs, hate, and general malaise found in Shadowrun APs is gone and yet you can still have a cyberpunk romp... gasp! Well done crew, tip jar’s got my appreciation.

I was skeptical of a Shadowrun actual play at first but was pleasantly surprised by how amazing this podcast is. The cast is clearly having a blast and does a great job bringing the world to light, adding details to keep things engaging but not getting bogged down in either the mechanics or trying to plan everything to perfection.

I screenshot all the premonitions for this PodCast, because I was sooo hype to hear it! These guys were my first Patreon subscription. And since i learned this was happening, I got into tabletop podcasts. And this year i finally got a group to be a part of. Thank You Chums you’ve taught me much!!😭😭😭

I’ve always been a fan of the “Oneshot Network” style of having PCs jump in to play random NPCs, so the idea of having a player who specifically plays all the antagonists/NPCs is an inspired choice! It really adds to the experience and makes everything funnier!
