I love the way Gates relates with her guests. So many amazing stories. I hope she continues with a new season. This really is a special thing she is doing that doesn’t just copy others’ styles of interview podcasting. Bravo to such a multi-talented and intriguing person!

Gates is just incredible, I am blown away by how brilliant and thoughtful her questions are. As someone in her 30s it it’s such a wonderful reminder that I can continue to be fun and smart like her. Keep it up

I love the rapport and story telling on this show. All of Gates’ guests are familiar and fun! They are authentic and brilliant and their stories are a testament. Every guest is a person I’ve enjoyed on the screen and then hearing them in this setting only reinforces the feeling that I would...Read full review »

I so love the easy conversation with fellow Treksters! My only request is to please change the “Mary had a little lamb” theme. I’m sorry, it’s not my cup of tea. It’s not the tune, rather it’s the instrument playing it that grates .

I love and cherish this podcast. Gates is a skillful and engaging host. Season 3 pls!!

… respectful, thoughtful, nuanced conversations. The ones with Nana Visitor and Kate Mulgrew were especially powerful. Highly recommended!

As a long time Star Trek fan, this was something that I was going to check out. Ms. McFadden is a very insight interviewer and asks a lot of interesting and thought provoking questions. A lot of the interview subjects are people she is familiar with, which gives an instant rapport but she...Read full review »

Having recently enjoying listening to more and more excellent podcasts elsewhere involving Star Trek’s wonderful nobility, Gates’s podcast touches even more areas that I have not heard before. Thoroughly enjoying the whole ride on this one. Bravo!

Gates has had manning callings but wow… such a great interviewer! Amazing to hear such personal stories and insights from her friends/cast mates. The Kate Mulgrew episode is particularly captivating, but honestly all the interviews thus far have been amazing and I’m looking forward to more!

Warm, insightful, full of overflowing love between friends which just makes my heart glow. I’ve wanted to be Beverly Crusher since I was eleven years old so this opportunity to ‘hang out’ with Gates and the other cast members is just so wonderful. Also, can we get merch with ‘space cadet’ on?!

I love Gates, but she barely gives her guests an opportunity to speak

Gates McFaddn is a terrifc interviewer. She’s great at drawing out stories from her guests and letting them be themselves. My one big gripe with the latest season is the truly awful dynamically-inserted ads. Ads are fine when done with care, but these are just randomly shoved into the episode,...Read full review »

This podcast is all those things we wish every podcast to be; informative, deep, surprising, educational etc etc etc. BUT what hooked me was the feeling that I had been hugged. Warmly. I listened to all the podcasts so far really liked them but the last one seemed edited I have questions why… Gates love the stories but I dislike feeling like I am cut out of the content. Still much love much respect! Please bring in JG Hertzler for a conversation!

The first episode was like being a voyeur between two old friends. With a bit of parenting mentorship thrown in. I’m looking forward to hearing additional episodes. The episode with Kate Mulgrew makes me wish I had such intellectual friends to discuss all the topics.

Really enjoyed the first season. I like Gates' interview style and personality and have found her guests interesting. BUT, my god, the sound is garbage. I thoroughly enjoyed the latest episode with William Shatner… The only problem is the volume was mixed so low that I nearly had to max out my system in order to hear it clearly. Please, when you have a chance, have it remastered, and increase the volume.

What an absolutely fantastic interview, well done Gates. Bill Shatner is such an inspiration of why age is just a number and as my wife has told me that on my headstone she will have written, "he grew old disgracefully" I cant wait until next week for your next guest and another superb...Read full review »

Gates is such a wonderful human. I love how she is talking to people in the Star Trek universe but the conversations are not focused on Star Trek itself. There’s enough of that out there. She is a very insightful host and I hope for more.

Gates is so wonderful, a gorgeous person inside and out, and as I am finding out, a fantastic interviewer. Nice enough and the conversations go deep but I came here wanting to hear more about the behind-the-scenes Trek stuff which is rare or non-existent. As a result, I’m out (I may return for Stewart). Still, Gates is a lovely host, a good listener and asks the right questions. Nice voice too.

Started listening because I listen to most Wil Wheaton podcasts and really enjoyed Gates interview style. After listening to all so far, who knew there were so many dancers, Taylor’s and Furniture Stores involved with the young lives of Star Trek Stars!

Gates McFadden is a brilliant interviewer- thoughtful and incisive. Her questions are always gentle, yet cut to the heart of inquiry about the topic being discussed.
