A new favorite, very much needed
As a tech worker on the left, it's easy to observe both the transformative potential of our high-tech, connected world, and also the failings of past conceptions of this potential. Within the industry, much of the same ideological fervor which fueled these failures remains at the helm, synthesizing left ideals of interdependence and social liberalism with right-wing ideals of hyperindividuality within a market context. General Intellect Unit could not be more timely. Their analysis provokes thought about the current zeitgeist and how it connects with the past which is all too often overlooked or buried beneath the glittering spectacle of the modern world.Read full review »
