Happy 4th of July! Today we reflect on the birth of the United States of America. I go over the Declaration of Independence, The Shot Heard Round the World, and 11 ordinary people who aided the American Revolution. I also talk about the inspiration of the Star Spangled Banner and the similarities between our flag today with the one that waved at Fort McHenry. The founding fathers were imperfect men, but many of them suffered greatly after signing their names to declare an independent nation. Today, we remember many patriots from our founding and reflect on the brave sacrifices from those who started the greatest country in the history of the world.
