Cant really recommend
I liked QCodes other podcasts, particularly The Left Right Game, but this one isn’t as good. The two main voice actors are great but they’re really the only good thing about it tl;dr: it’s just okay. Got cheap scares, meh writing, a good idea with poor execution The writing is stilted and incredibly heavy-handed, the character of Tessa is sarcastic and aggressive from the word go to the point of parody and can’t seem to take anything seriously which you can get away with in an action main character but this is supposed to be a thriller. The romance subplot doesn’t really add anything to the overarching mystery, and I genuinely don’t know what her father character is supposed to do except show the amount of crap Tessa has gone through. The writers keep reaching for heavy subjects (sexual abuse, suicide, mental health, addiction, trauma) and throwing them at the audience without actually handling them in a way that adds to the mystery or is actually scary instead of just clumsily uncomfortable As I’m writing this it occurs to me that while Tessa is telling the story she’s not really the main character, she’s the plot device, the psychiatrist is the one undergoing the most changes in the story. That’s weird to me

Very poorly acted, produced, and executed.

No chemistry between uninteresting, generic characters. Extremely subpar voice acting. Terrible, simple writing. Guessed the ending before the first episode was over. Waste of time
