Insightful, entertaining, original, and filled with a surprising amount of analysis
Giganticast is fronted by kaiju artist par excellence Matt Frank, who not only produces the best artwork of our favorite giant creatures but knows the lore inside and out. Add to this his incredible enthusiasm for the subject matter and a positive attitude (where other kaiju fan podcasts often rely on a sarcastic, negative attitude to draw listeners) and you have a solid groundwork for an informative and fun podcast. With a rotating cast of co-hosts (including Matt's wife Morgan, who more than holds her own in genre knowledge) who actually have something to say and provide solid analysis and insight-that's a recipe for a pod that's right at the top of the stack for any kaiju fan. If you're looking for more than just the tired production information that other similar pods spew out ad nauseam, this is the program for you-just listen to that Gridman episode. I also appreciate that Matt gives the female contingent of fandom a strong voice rather than just your typical sausage party. What else can I say? Listen to Giganticast!Read full review »

The Giganticast is definitely worth your time if you have an interest in Godzilla, Gamera, Ultraman and kaiju artist Matt Frank. On a scale 1-10, I give the Giganticast 10 Super Godzilla Play-throughs out of 10.
