Critiques can help improve content
This used to be my favorite podcast, I’ve listened to every episode. Lately it’s turned into the “Ashley is successful, rich, and amazing” soapbox show. Still love Rayna (keep up the good work, girl!) but she and the guests don’t get to say much anymore, and Ashley doesn’t seem to take any criticism of the interrupting etc. The last straw was when Ashley said “there’s not a successful artist out there that will say I got where I am because I listened to my critics.” This is just not true. Yes, don’t listen to bullies. But CRITICS can be your a great tool for refining your craft, improving your product, and avoiding an endless feedback loop (echo chamber) of positive praise where progress stops and delusion begins. In the end it’s just a dating and relationship podcast, I just miss the gold ol days when the content was actually worth listening to.

Honestly the best way to start Monday morning & the week. I’m over here crying from laughter in my kitchen as I make breakfast.
