Khadijah Mellah is the first hijab wearing jockey in a competitive British horse race. Despite being new to horse racing, she went on to win the Magnolia cup. Her story was the subject of an amazing TV documentary called Riding Dream and her story continues to inspire others to take risks and overcome adversity. Alice and Khadijah discuss how she got into horse racing from a tiny stables in south London that she was on a waiting list for 2 years, to winning the Magnolia cup. Khadijah also opens up about how seeing how hard her parents work to get to where they are today, gave her the work ethic she has.
