It’s a great dive into Filipino language and culture, but wow are there ads galore. I understand that ads are your revenue source, but when the actual show doesn’t start till the 6th minute, then is interrupted every 3 minutes after, it makes for a frustrating learning experience.

I grew up in New Zealand since I was 2 & lost my ability to speak tagalog due to needing to learn english here. I’m the only one out of my family who cannot speak fluently so I’m happy I have found this. Kris does such a great job of breaking down the Filipino language into short episodes to build up your vocabulary! I am starting from basically scratch (my mom never spoke in Tagalog to us growing up) and as an adult this podcast has been really easy to follow and pick up. Thanks Kris!
