Good Beer Hunting
The notion that someone would give this series of podcasts anything short of exceptional marks is amusing. The host works to walk the listener through his own personal beer journey, which turns out to be a high-level, thoughtful essay on the trends, accomplishments, and most importantly, the economics of the craft beer trade. This podcast is a must for anybody interested in the business of craft beer. Unlike nearly every other similarly-focused podcast, GBH does not waste time ruminating about the mouthfeel of the beer they're drinking at the moment (though the host definitely enjoys a tipple during recording, which is great). We don't have to listen to a 20-minute diatribe on the hosts' most recent run-in with a beer novice's faux pas. Instead, the host of GBH really works to develop the subject matter and respects his listener in the process. The sheer quality of his interviewees is a testament to the weight the host carries within the industry. That said, it's not super-wonky and does not forget that this whole exploration is fundamentally about something that gives a lot of us a great deal of pleasure: Beer.Read full review »

Great beer talk coming out of Chicago and lots of content from around the world, which is a refreshing change from all the beer podcasts coming out of California. Does skew a little more heavily toward the bigger breweries. Music is a little weird.
