Description
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, (1Peter 3:18, NKJV)
Jesus died to bring us to God! That is the message of the cross. Through His death, burial and resurrection, we have access to the Father, not only in eternity, but now!
Think of it! Because of Jesus, I can freely approach the most powerful, wise, and creative personality in the universe. He is my Father, and He loves me and cares for me.
There are times in my life when my need for the Father is acute! When I need comfort, when I need peace, when I need healing, when I need wisdom, my Father is always there, able and willing to provide.
Without Jesus I could not approach Him. He’s too holy, and I have wandered so far away. But because of the cross, I am forgiven and I am cleansed. Jesus bore my sins and brought me into the family.
In this world of confusion and chaos, faith in the Gospel is what we most need. We can rest in what He did, rather than trying to prove ourselves as acceptable. Jesus made peace through the blood of the cross. When we receive Him as Lord and Savior, all that the Father has is ours!
