As with many things on the modern internet, I found myself relying more on an easily clicked composite movie review score than reading actual reviews. Maybe it was a combination of Roger Ebert's passing and my own laziness. I knew Will from reading Deadspin for years so I was curious about the G & L movie reviews posted there and I was pleased to find out that I often agreed with their opinions (maybe Will's a little more than Tim's). I really enjoy this podcast because they both clearly explain their reasons for panning or praising and it never feels like a rehash of the consensus of other critics. I would love to hear a review of Streets of Fire (1984), a movie that I watched a lot as a kid because it was often on HBO.Read full review »
