James Arthur Ray may not have been a cult leader per se, but we need to discuss the manipulation tactics he utilized that show up in many abusive authority figures. “Good podcast so far, but the many jarring interruptions of upbeat ads during a fairly upsetting story feels unnecessary at best and disrespectful to victims and survivors at worst. Ads can be interwoven in more fluid ways!”
