Powerful storytelling
This was powerful journalism about a story that I needed to hear. I’m especially grateful for the focus on responsible practices in the self-help industry. James Arthur Ray may not have been a cult leader per se, but we need to discuss the manipulation tactics he utilized that show up in many abusive authority figures. Grateful for what I learned and considered from listening to this show.

I think they have odd choice of title themes. I know it’s nit-picky, but I feel like it’s always a song that would be on a commercial for a company trying to be relevant with the young crowd. Good podcast so far, but the many jarring interruptions of upbeat ads during a fairly upsetting story feels unnecessary at best and disrespectful to victims and survivors at worst. Ads can be interwoven in more fluid ways!
