X-Men The Last Stand is Excessive! - Hack The Movies (#286)

We finally made it to the first "LAST" X-Men movie! My cousin Monica joins me to look at Brett Ratner's attempt to close Bryan Singers trilogy and 20th Century Fox's attempt to get a super hero movie in theaters a few months before Superman Returns come out. They went all out for this last installment. We have the mutant cure, the Rouge/Kitty.Iceman love triangle, the Dark Pheonix, and too many new characters! Does that sound Excessive? Shaun of the Dead was a smash hit in 2004! It introduced the world to Edgar Wright, Nick Frost, and Simon Pegg. It was also the beginning of the Cornetto Trilogy. I got together with Tom and Angela to see how the movie holds up 20 years later. Is it still one of the best horror comedies and zombie movies ever? Watch and find out!

Fun and funny!

I fell into this podcast because I’d watch AVGN, then Rental Reviews. Tony is very famous starring in movies like Dark Knight Rises and magnanimous enough to appear in Drunk History. I love Crystal, Johanna, Kira, Tricia and I would love to see Newt come back! He cracks me up!

Solid.

How do I leave 5 Stars for just Crystal’s voice?

Bring back Newt

This show/podcast was firing on all cylinders when it was Tony, Newt, and Crystal. It was truly hilarious, but since the departure of Newt it’s just a revolving cast of mostly unfunny guests and Tony laughing at his own jokes every minute. Maybe one day Tony will wise up and invite Newt back for an episode?
